Perfectly Polished

Love this idea
from

Supplies

Nail Polish
Paper Crinkle
Large Plastic Eggs
White card stock
Washi tape
(found at target and cute tape)
Plastic treat bags (3.75" x 6")

Putting It All Together

  • Place the crinkle paper and polish inside the egg.
  • Tilt the top of the egg so you can still see what's inside and attach the back with a piece of tape.
  • To make your topper, trim a 4" x 2.5" piece of white cardstock, fold in half and place a strip of tape across the front.
  • Put the egg in the bag and finish it off attaching the topper with a couple staples.

If you haven't checked out eighteen25

Yummy Homemade Caramel!

Homemade Caramel
is one of our all time favorite
"sweet treats"...
My husbands family has made it for years
we continue the tradition today.

It's easy to make, absolutely delicious
& it makes a wonderful gift!

~ Here's How to Make It ~

Get a can of sweet condensed milk.
Take the label off, put into a pot and cover with water.
You can do 1 can or up to 6 cans at a time.
Boil for about 2-5 hours depending on what consistency you are looking for. Yes, I know, it's a long time...
but it's so worth it!
  • For a pourable "Sauce-like" consistency = boil for 2 hours
  • For a Caramel "Dipping" consistency = boil for 3 hours
  • For a thicker "Pudding" like consistency = boil for 4-5 hours

~ The Trick Is ~

Be sure to keep the cans covered with water the whole time! Otherwise, the cans can explode & you'll have a mess!

  • Just set a kitchen timer for every 15-20 minutes to check the water level to insure that the can(s) covered and it's at a consistent boil...
  • Once you're done boiling, just set the can on a rack to cool down. Do not open while hot!
  • If unopened, you can store the cans on the shelf for a few weeks. If opened, store in the fridge in an airtight container.
  • The best part is, this can be made ahead of time, so you can have it on hand through the fall/holiday seasons!

~ BONUS ~
